I'm excited to announce I have started rolling out what are the start of some pretty significant changes for Video To Blog (so many I've decided to call it 2.0).
Since I launched Video to Blog (almost a year ago) I've received a lot of feedback from users and realized there were some common themes around some pain points including...
With this feedback I've decided to implement some changes to address these pain points along with doubling down on my commitment for Video To Blog to focus on the quality of content generated (not quantity). Specifically these changes include...
I will be offering a new (non-credit) plan where you get all premium features for free and unlimited blog generations, but you are capped on the amount of total blogs you can create per month.
This means you can keep regenerating blogs until you get the desired output without having to worry about wasting credits.
This is also more in line with how our target users (YouTubers) use Video To Blog. Our lowest price plan includes 10 blogs per month which is more than enough for > 80% of users.
Please note that as with all previous (and future) pricing updates, no one will be forced to update to the new plan. If you like the plan you are currently using, you do not have to switch and I will continue to support that plan.
Under this new plan many premium options like premium transcriptions and SEO optimization will happen by default so you do not have to worry about explicitly selecting these options or worry about them costing additional credits.
The custom instructions (formerly known as additional instructions) feature is arguably the most powerful feature of Video to Blog since it gives you the ability to customize your blog exactly to your liking. However, it has been very unused and because of this I have made the following updates...
I've updated the UI to bring custom instructions to the top so it is more visible and seems less like an after thought.
Custom instructions can now parse links to articles. This is great because it means you can quickly paste in links to give the AI writing examples to follow, sources to cite, and more.
I'm currently working on building better documentation to teach our users how to best utilize custom instructions (along with documentation for all of our features).
I've also made some other updates that are pretty cool including...
You can now easily create and add beautiful CTAs (Call to Actions) in your blog.
You can now create and add folders to organize all of your blogs.
I've made some updates to stock images in order to make them more accurate (when auto added by our AI) along with including backup options that can be easily selected.
Coming soon.
As always I sincerely appreciate everyone's feedback I have received from launching Video To Blog. All of these changes are a direct result of said feedback along with my commitment for Video To Blog to focus on quality of content over quantity.
If you have any questions or feedback about these changes, please feel free to reach out to me at andrew@videoToBlog.ai.
